This sign was on a fence next to a small truck parking area. It was in a place that didn’t seem relevant anymore. It looked more like an artifact. Yet, at one time, it clearly had a strong message: “Paved roads, community water, architectural control.” A remnant from days when it was worthwhile to trumpet such things. Maybe it’s still important to some people. A quick google of “Gull Shore Manor” shows that it’s still an entity. If it were really important, though, wouldn’t they re-paint the sign, rescue it from obscurity, move it to a more prominent place? Either way, I’m glad they didn’t. There is nothing like sun-faded blue paint, and when you get it in two shades, it’s hard to ask for anything more.
